Cabin getaway
We spent the last week up at a cabin in Alexandria with my family. We had great weather for the most part and a great property and had a total blast!
The cousins had fun spending time with each other.

We did it! We made it through the school year! It honestly went way better than I dared to hope. With the exception of December, the kids were in school the rest of the year and based on the information from our superintendent, both students and teachers stayed remarkably safe and healthy. My "benchmark" year from childhood was second grade because I moved to MN that year (1987). I'm going to guess this year will be the kids' benchmark year too. That year they lived through a pandemic and had to wear masks to school. But here we are!
Rob and Kasper started a tradition back in Kindergarten of riding bikes home from school during the last week of the year. This year there wasn't a day that wasn't going to be about 100 degrees so it was a hot ride. Marlo's first! She was of course thrilled to be included, and did great!

All we do these days is pack! We filled up one storage unit already and are working on a second!
This was the kids' last full-ish week of school. I think they are doing all sorts of fun end-of-the-year stuff.
They went up to Grandma Sandra's on Saturday morning. Rob and I wanted to make a big dent in the packing and also we had a birthday party to go to last night so we figured they'd have more fun elsewhere. Looks like they had a healthy mixture of fun and hard work. Good for them.
