Snowmageddon

We were supposed to get hit by a "historic" storm this week. School was cancelled Wednesday and Thursday. While we got about a foot of snow, I was hoping for more.

   

 The kids got to go back to school on Friday and Marlo was able to go to her very first big sleepover! The girls went to the winter party at school then back for a sleepover. Sounds like it was a total blast though Marlo was very tired when she got home the next morning.

   

 A couple hours after she got home, she turned around and went to a birthday party. They're delirious, clearly.

   

I'm thankful she can start doing these fun things with her friends. Covid took a lot of that away from her in her first couple school years. 

What a weird week. Hopefully this one is a little more chill.

February

This week was Valentine's Day already! Time flying never ceases to amaze me. Rob went to Marlo's class to participate in the Valentine's Day party. He said it was a gong show. 

For dinner on Valentine's Day, I made Rob and I a delicious meal and we got the kids McDonalds. For dessert I made some homemade lava cakes. About 3 min after putting them in the oven we lost power for almost 2 hours. Thankfully it came on by bedtime so "we" weren't scared of the dark. Rob took the oppertunity to light up the house with his disc golf discs. Today was President's Day and there was no school. We met up with Marlo's bestie and her Mom to go skiing! I don't think Marlo had been skiing for 2 years but she rocked it. Her friend is a good skiier and I think that was all it took for Marlo to be brave. It was a lot of fun. Kasper brought along a buddy so they were off doing their own thing all day. Now we settle in to see how much snow we get this week! We already got an e-mail from school to not be surprised if school plans change for Wednesday and Thursday. Of course they don't get snow days anymore, they can learn online now! I've hear 2 feet thrown around in the next 3 days. I thought it was basically Spring. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

 It was cold this week! But "they" say the cold weather is over for this winter now. We'll just see about that. 

Kasper had to resort to drinking coffee to warm up in the morning. 

Marlo got hit in the mouth and had a pretty good fat lip.
