Thanksgiving!
Did everyone have a great Thanksgiving? We did!
It was a short but mildly eventful week. On Tuesday I got a call from the nurse at Kasper's school letting me know that he got his hand stuck in a chair and the custodian had to saw it off (the chair). Alrighty then. She said it was pretty red and swollen (the hand) so Rob ran over to get him because who wants to stay at school after having a chair sawed off your hand? I have no idea how he gets himself into these situations.

It was looking lots better by dinnertime.

We finally made our winter paper chain!

The amount of days until SPRING BREAK!

It snowed Tuesday and Marlo's daycare was closed so we headed up to St. Cloud before lunch. Marlo got to nap in a big kids' bed.

Kasper had school Wednesday and a fun day at that - Thanksgiving celebration complete with quesadillas! - so he and Rob came up for dinner. They ate and immediately put winter gear on to play in the snow.

Thanksgiving!

We had an awesome meal. My Mom outdid herself with the turkey this year. And the rest of the food as well.
Yesterday my Mom had the idea to take the kids to a local tree farm. It was SO FUN. There weren't many people there since it was the day after Thanksgiving so we had the place almost to ourselves. They took us on a tractor ride around the trees and out to see the buffalo, then we warmed up with apple cider and cookies then ended the trip with a horse drawn wagon ride.

This is Betty, the oldest female at the farm. She loves corn.

Some of the females were pregnant.

This is Dakota - the only male. Their tongues are crazy.

I LOVED them. My Mom loved them. Marlo allowed herself to be near them but didn't like how "they looked at her" and Kasper was back by the tractor.

He did stand closer to the horses.

We headed back home after naps. Or I should say after quiet time. Neither kid napped and both were in bed, asleep by 7:15. I think that's an all time record. They slept until 7 this morning. They needed that sleep! We had a nice relaxing french toast breakfast and read the paper. Marlo played baby. I pretended the baby was calling her Mom! and I think it freaked her out.

It was kind of warm today so we took a walk before heading to Target for much needed groceries. The warmth meant it was super muddy. Duh.

We took naps, Rob hung the Christmas lights and the kids were generally wonderful and sweet with each other. Let the week begin.
