Twas the week before Christmas...

I have entirely too much to do these days, what with my "baby" turning TWO in a couple short days. Instead of going crazy, I'm going to break up the holiday posts. Make it easier on myself.

First installment will be the days leading up to Christmas!

Monday (2 weeks ago, now!) we got together with Rob's Dad and Carol to have dinner and exchange Christmas gifts. Grandpa Steve knocked it out of the park with this sea plane Kasper takes in the bath! It's such a fun toy and he loves to play with it. He even knew right out of the box it was called a sea plane. Dude loves his moving things.

Doesn't that just look like the perfect little boy gift??

Wednesday was "Cozy Sweater" day at daycare. Not sure what the face was about.

We decided to do our little family Christmas on Friday night. Kasper totally gets presents this year and it's AWESOME! Saturday morning we woke up and ripped into our stockings. (Please note, this is about 6 am on a Saturday morning. Kasper woke up SUPER early for some reason.)

Fun stocking treats! Finger puppets, duplos, towels!

We headed up to St. Cloud after stockings. My sister and her boyfriend were up and we wanted to spend some time with them and everyone else. Kasper ended up latching on to an old troll doll of my sister's and wanted it up at the table with him.

Huge bite. Immediately preceding a massive brain freeze.

Panic sets in and Kasper looks to Papa for help, but ultimately resorts to crying and clawing the ice cream out of his mouth.

Helping Tim open his present. Kasper gave Tim a bike pump and in the days before Christmas he liked to talk about the pump around the house. He was even a little possessive of it. I believe the words "That's Tim's present. Don't touch it, okaaaaaaay Sissy?" were uttered more than once.

On Sunday we met Grandma Sandra as well as Rob's cousin Katie and her boyfriend (another Tim! Lucky Kasper!) at Bravo's.

Ok! That brings us up to Christmas Eve! Coming next...

Hope everyone had a great holiday!

Ni Ni Doggie

A couple nights ago, after dinner, Kasper was playing with a little stuffed dog he found. He laid the dog down and said "Ni Ni." Then this happened...

First he got his thin blanket from his crib and covered the doggie.

If that wasn't cute enough, he went back to his crib to get his quilt.

And a paci.

When they were all tucked in with pacis, Kasper went back to his room AGAIN for Goodnight Moon for a bedtime story.

He did that ALL on his own. What a sweet boy.

White Christmas, you say?

Wow this week went fast! It's hard to believe next week is CHRISTMAS! I remember when Kasper turned one. Now he's only a couple short weeks from turning 2.

Anyway. As I said before, this week flew by. I barely even picked up the camera!

(I hope he forever has that dimple. Love it.)

After getting basically a foot of snow last weekend, we can see grass in some places after a warm, rainy week of disappointment! I was worried we might have a brown Christmas after all but I think the snow will hold on.

We maybe had dinner all together once this week. Rob was working hard/late most days while I had a work holiday party one evening. It was just one of those weeks. Luckily we had little on the schedule for this weekend so we could spend it together.

We ran to Ikea yesterday morning along with everyone else in the tri-state area. Highly recommend going for breakfast before the store opens! The rest of the day we laid low and watched the rain, hoping it wouldn't melt all the snow. Kasper was being especially silly at dinnertime.

This morning we decided to toss some boots on and go for a walk. We told Kasper we were going on a abenture. He had an amazing time. This little trail is seriously across the street. So lucky to have this kind of space so close.

Here is Kasper saying "Mas abenture!!" since we had stopped walking a second.

We warmed ourselves after the walk with a trip to Caribou. Kasper HOUSED this hot chocolate and barely spilled any. Absolutely chugged it. That's my boy.

A whirlwind week and a weekend that went too fast. It's that just always the way? Hope everyone had a great weekend!
