The end of October already! I can't believe it. We had another quiet week over here. Well, we started it off with a bang (and a bite) but we coasted through the rest of the week. I also took approximately 1 million photos. It's going to be a long post.
Kasper continues to grow and change. He started clapping with purpose this week! If we say "Yay!" and clap, he'll clap with us! It's SO fun to be able to interact with him like this. He also tries to play peek-a-boo by holding things over his eyes but he's not always accurate.
Also new this week - standing! He still can't let go when he's standing and remain standing, but sometimes if I set him on his feet, he'll stay there for awhile! He stands at least long enough for me to get my camera and take a picture!

Note: He seems to stand better if he's holding onto something.
We were able to relax after work and throw our toys around.

Such a boy.

Another thing Kasper started is "sharing" whatever he is holding with us. Including his breakfast!

Hi!

His silly smile lately.

Yesterday we had some family pictures taken. On the drive, I had fun looking at Kasper in his mirror.

And here's the dude in his cute little sweater vest with a new toy.

We woke up this morning with nothing to do! It's rare these days to have everyone home on the weekends especially in the morning. We made coffee in our new french press (awesome!), read the paper and had cinnamon rolls from Ikea. It was so relaxing!

Since tomorrow is Halloween, Kasper gets to wear his costume to school and he also gets to bring in a decorated pumpkin. After seeing these guys involve their little one in pumpkin decorating, I knew I wanted to try it! I wrote Kasper's name on some painters tape I stuck on the pumpkin then cut around it with an exacto knife. Once I peeled off the excess tape, I squirted some paint on the 'kin and let the boy have at it. He LOVED the finger painting! I didn't even have to help him!

We got a little overzealous so the pumpkin is basically painted brown but we had a fun time!

(It's weird to see him hanging out with a paci. Normally we only allow them for sleeping but I didn't want him to put paint in his mouth.)
Here the boy is waking up from a nap so excited to see his pumpkin.

Here it is! We peeled the tape off and were left with a totally awesome pumpkin to bring to school tomorrow!

Rob wanted to pretend his hand was "ghoulish".

This afternoon, the place where I took my New Mama course was having a party where you could bring your kids in in their costumes and sing songs and have your picture taken! A couple of us from the group met and chatted for awhile. It has been months since we all got together and the kids are just getting so BIG. I think last time we were all together, the milestone we were all working on was sitting! It was fun to see everyone and it was fun to have the babies "play". Want a sneak peek at the costume?

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
