Walls!

Our insulation was finished up this week and then they did the DRYWALL!! The house has walls! It's very exciting.

We got a temporary furnace put in so the house is heated with gas through the HVAC system instead of propane fire!

I went for a walk on the trail near the house while Rob and the kids played on the lot.

Marlo's other front tooth is starting to make its move out of her mouth.

The front of the house was all cleared off to get a bunch of landscaping boulders delivered before the road restrictions hit on March 1.

I think next week will be boring at the house while they do all the sheetrock taping, mudding and sanding. Swimming lessons and skiing are over for now. Maybe we'll have a quiet week!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Insulation

Gosh the weeks fly by. Kasper went to the orthodontist on the recommendation of his dentist to see if he needed braces to help his permanent teeth come in. Good news is he doesn't need braces. Yet. Bad news is he has to get 2 baby teeth pulled to make the space for the new teeth. They aren't even loose. That makes me shiver just thinking about it. He'll need braces eventually.

The house is all lit up now! It looks so inviting. I'd love to live there. IMG_8605

This week the insulation went up! It feels a lot warmer!

Friday was an e-learning day. Thankfully it was also a half day but still. Haven't missed distance learning. I don't know how we could've done it long term in this apartment. IMG_7065 IMG_7066 IMG_8641
I spent some time this week making some of our final design choices! It's a little bittersweet! After all the hand wringing and teeth gnashing, I finally got into a groove and enjoyed it. IMG_7068

We braved IKEA on a Saturday to pick up a couple things for the house. The kids weren't all that into the idea but ended up having a BLAST going into all the rooms.

The light in the food court where we had a snack made our eyes look so good we took pics of each of ours. 3 of the 4 of us have almost the exact same eye color. IMG_7136 Tonight we went over to Carol's for dinner. Her 2 sons and families (missing one spouse) were in town and it had apparently been over 6 years since we had all gotten together. We always have such a fun time talking to them and the kids, who had basically never met, got along famously.

And that closes out another week! We're expecting a winter storm tomorrow followed by another round of low temps. Kasper's last ski club date has been postponed twice already so I hope they can go this week! It's supposed to be below zero.  Again.  And almost March.  C'mon.  Anyway, hope everyone had a great weekend!
