Memorial Day 2018
It certainly felt like the beginning of summer around here this week! It was a WARM week here. Today was the 5th day in a row over 90 degrees. I think it's a record.
School is winding down, activities are winding up. Rob drove into the garage with his bike on his bike rack. There should be a front fork on there.

There's a minor dent on the garage, a minor scratch on his car, the rack survived pretty well and just had to have a couple pieces replaced. The fate of the bike remains to be seen.
Marlo got pigtails as punishment for some bad and bossy behavior. She was so mad.

The bummer about the bike rack incident and its timing is that Rob and Kasper had plans to go up to St. Cloud this weekend to do duathlons. Rob spent some unintended time replacing everything, getting Kasper from school early on Friday then spent 3 hours making the 70 mile trip and missed the kids race. All the grandparents made it to the race and reported that it looked like a lot of fun! Maybe next year! After dinner with Grandma Sandra and Grandpa Steve, Kasper set up his own race at Grandma Sandra's.

Rob had to run his race in the scorching heat. He lived!

Marlo and I took her bike out for a spin.

Yesterday we went over to Steph and Tim's house for a BBQ. I guess we only took 1 picture despite having a lot of fun! This is Kasper's friend Legs.

This morning we packed up and headed to the beach with many of our closest friends. Kasper actually did run into a classmate and they had fun chasing a ball around.

We came home and played in the yard with all our water toys until it got instantly dark and a thunderstorm moved in.

Before the storms moved in and brought the temps down into the 70s.

Hope everyone had a Happy Memorial Day!
