Spring?

This might be a record for least number of photos taken in a week. But how will I document our days for posterity if I never take out my camera! I don't think I've even touched my real camera for weeks.

But I digress...

Kasper's school was closed Monday so Grandma Sandra came down to play with him. We fit in a couple tae kwon do classes in there including a family class where Rob and Kasper got to go together!

This is what Marlo was up to.





She's such a little angel when she sleeps. Also, that pool noodle does very little. She falls out a couple nights a week.


Story time


Marlo and I ran to Costco. I focused on the list, she focused on the chilling.


Kasper got Marlo all dressed and outside yesterday. Then they sat on the swing and chatted. It was basically the cutest thing ever.



Yesterday was packed! I hosted a baby shower for my sister and my cousin's wife then we went over to my sister's house for pizza with a bunch of aunts, uncles and cousins I haven't seen in years. It was fantastic and the kids were troopers.

Today we had to run our errands but eventually Kasper and Rob got outside to play soccer in the 35 degree weather. I think they are thinking spring.






And now we're all exhausted. Rob and I most of all. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Midweek Marlo

Kindergarten dreaming

Pececito

Man we had a busy week! Kasper was the Pececito de la semana this week which is just student of the week. We made a board all about him and on Monday, he got to present it to the class. He went through his board then his friends got to ask questions. It was all done in Spanish and it was fun to hear the kids all speaking Spanish so well.




We stayed a little longer to watch them do their daily organizational things and OMG it's madness. His lovely teacher has a gift for kindergartners. It was a blast to watch.

Tuesday the kids celebrated Valentine's Day in their respective rooms and came home with piles of candy! Wednesday was Kasper's 100th day of kindergarten so he had to bring in 100 of something. We chose mini erasers.

Thursday Rob decided to get terribly ill and had to stay home. Also Thursday Marlo's daycare closed at 3 because they were affected by the Day Without Immigrants (which we TOTALLY support, btw). Since Rob was laid up, I had to go get her. We ended up trolling through the liquor store then stopping for cookies and hot chocolates.



She's becoming such a delightful little thing.

It has been unseasonably warm here this week. Like record warm. The snow is basically gone! I hate what it means for the planet but man it feels awesome to be thinking spring in the middle of February. We went for long walks both days - no jackets - AMAZING!


I went out for dinner with my Spain girlfriends last night. It's almost been a year since our girls weekend! We need to plan another one!


We went out again today. It was just too beautiful. Marlo didn't want her heart tattoo covered by her pants.








Kasper rode his bike and Rob ran. There were spots on the trail that were thick MUD!





Don't mind my eyebrows. I'm growing them in as part of a reshaping effort. They drive me crazy and I can't stand to look at them.









This is a terrible picture, I didn't have my real camera, but there was a Mama owl sitting in her nest along the trail! It was SO COOL. Especially for a group of bird lovers like us. Can you see her? (hint: look for the 'horns')


We got groceries, napped, cooked, etc the rest of today. I even GRILLED brats for dinner while the kids rode their bikes in the driveway and Rob took down the Christmas lights. Is this really February?? Hope everyone had a great weekend!
