Halloween Eve
Quick one today!
Monday after dinner I left the kitchen for 1-2 minutes. Marlo did NOT eat her dinner but decided to help herself to an ice cream sandwich. From the freezer. She didn't appreciate getting busted. Also, please excuse the undies. I'm surprised she has a sweater on.
School pictures are back! Oh man I love it so much.
Ironically enough, Kasper forgot to take his jacket off for his kindergarten photo just like his Papa.
Thankfully no one was the wiser in either case. Besides their Mothers, that is.
Marlo puts up a minimal clothing fight in the mornings and in return, when she sprints into her room after school and puts on something I consider foolish, I let it go.
I found some super cool fall leaves at work.

Yesterday morning we went to a "Spooky Science" event at the high school for the elementary kids. It was SO neat! The high school kids had little science experiments set up around 4 classrooms and you walked around in costumes and learned.
Throwing whirlybirds over the railing. Also, isn't it funny (weird?) the kids will be "Skippers"??
From there we drove over to a park for daycare's fall picnic! It was nice only having to put costumes on once for both events. They had amazing tamales and Mexican hot chocolate. Marlo gets freaked out seeing teachers outside of class - I always did too. Just as we were leaving, 2 of Kasper's old buddies were getting there. Bummer!
She just wanted to deface the sign.
There was so much love at lunch when we got home they ended up in the same seat. Marlo has been asking "Are you my friend?" often which is adorable.

Today we all got up late, had a late breakfast, got groceries and did some yard work. Thankfully the missing tree really is lowering our leaf raking. I'm so happy it's gone. We're looking forward to tomorrow! The kids are all excited to go trick-or-treating. Remember last year?

Not that that means she'll wear clothes even when it's freezing.
