Enjoying it While it Lasts!
Hold on to your butts - there are a lot of pictures here. And even more I'll have to include later because there are too many.
I didn't share pictures from our Labor Day afternoon yet. Here they are!

\

We eventually moved the party to the backyard.

You can give them all the toys in the world and they'll still have the most fun blowing raspberries into a bucket.

We got the potty chair out this week! This was a response to hearing that I was potty trained by 2 and seeing that Kasper was using the potty before baths at this age. So far there has been only 1 accidental poop success. Mostly she begs to sit on it then hops up and bangs that white bowl all over and carries the chair into a different room. Then pees in the bath.

Lots of time spent with sidewalk chalk this week.

Killing time waiting for pizza!

We woke up yesterday and headed right to the zoo! We got there not long after it opened and walked right in! No lines, not many people at the first couple exhibits we stopped at. It was a perfect day to go! It's such a hike we go maybe once a year. This was by far the best trip. Though Kasper was tired the whole time and kept whining to go to the next thing. It's kind of his MO lately.

The baby monkeys were so playful. They were adorable.

Then Mama got involved and wrestled with the babies a minute before heading off to do whatever she needed to do.

I really liked the guy in the back just waiting for his friend to finish horsing around with his Mom.

The animals were all out and active.

The grizzly bear brothers were doing some pretty hardcore play fighting. It was everyone's favorite part of the zoo. They are enormous and were thrashing around and biting each other. (In a playful way, somehow.)

They are so big!

The wolverine was getting it's steps in.

Marlo and her "Orsies"

The camels were in the water at first then they walked out. Those humps are so weird. They wave back and forth as they walk. I wonder if it's uncomfortable.

At this point the kids were done so we headed home! We made the mistake of stopping at a mexican place we really like for a takeout lunch. It ended up taking almost an hour just to get carryout but we all survived and got home and food into everyone before we crumbled. Kasper was saying he was not sleepy before nap. I totally had to wake him up 2 hours later.

Isn't that such a sweet sight??
Rob left after the kids went down for their nap to go play with friends. When Kasper woke up, Steph and Tim came to pick him up so he could spend the evening with them! They went to the park and he pounded 4 pancakes for dinner. He said he had a lot of fun and in 2 more times I can go with. Next time it'll only be him again. Marlo and I survived. She threw an epic tantrum when she woke up about her snack choices. She got no snack and we went for a walk instead after she calmed down.

She seriously told me to "TOP" following her up the stairs.

Before we sat down to eat she very sweetly asked me for the snack that an hour earlier caused her to flip her lid.

What a relaxing meal! She doesn't take suggestions kindly and will not sit at her own place for dinner.

She likes you to smell her feet and pretend they are super stinky.

Another unsuccessful potty try!

She was, however, successful in making one of the worst faces.

Oh dear. So much to share! Look more more of our weekend later! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
