Happy 4th, Part 2
Let's pick up where we left off!
Dinner Saturday night. Notice the bug bite in front of Marlo's left ear from the bonfire Friday night. She gets them worse than me.

Kappy preforming an advanced "Big White Blanket hole" move.

Doughnuts Sunday morning!

We headed to the beach Sunday! It was such a nice day. I didn't take my camera out while they played. Weird, huh?

Kappy and Papa went for a bike ride while Marlo finished her nap and happened on some raspberries.

Chocolate malts!

Kasper drank all of his and about half of mine.

Rob got up early on the 4th and headed to Excelsior to run a 10K. We had hopes of seeing him at the finish line but we were out like a herd of turtles thanks to one of the sleepless nights we had around the holiday. We were watching the sand castle competition by 8:30 so we weren't doing terribly.

We headed over towards the race finish and marveled at the front moving in. And ran.

Lost one!

We had hopes of finding a parade and lucked out when one fell into our lap while we were feeling like we had done all we wanted to do. Even luckier was that it was a kids parade so it was kids riding their bikes and their parents walking along side. Nothing scary!

"What are we doooooooing?"

We decided to throw the sleepy kids a bone and hang around home Monday after naps. We grilled, had smores, lit sparklers, played with the wubble. We got them in to bed pretty early so they were asleep before the fireworks started. That, combined with a fan in their room meant that they actually slept! Maybe next year they won't be so scared of fireworks and can handle going to see them!

And that was our 4th of July this year! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!
