Hanging on
Another crazy week. I think it's going to just be like this for the next 15ish years. In conclusion, both kids are finally adjusting to their new days. Kasper is making friends and having fun in kindergarten. Marlo is Marlo.
Monday was rough. It involved me promising to read a book just so Marlo would put some dang clothes on. She wants only nightdowns or dresses.

Lots of love here. And Kasper's pjs are acceptable to Marlo. Just not her own.

Marlo fought about clothes and food and shoes and jackets too long one morning Rob had to take her to the bus stop first so Kasper wouldn't miss it. (That's Kappy in the blue backpack embarking for the ride to school)

Kasper and me twinning!

"Helping" me bring the garbage bins in.

And fall leaves?!

Bath time + goggles

Rob and I celebrated 8 years on Tuesday! We went out to dinner that night while my parents, fresh from a safari in South Africa, watched the kids. We also took half days on Friday to go out for lunch and walk around a lake, stopping for a beer or 2. It was GORGEOUS Friday. Just like the day we got married!
I picked up Kasper. He was looking especially big.

He's been seeing an occupational therapist for some sensory sensitivities and his homework was WATCHING A MOVIE. He has a couple he'll watch but will not watch a new one. We showed him 3 previews and he picked the one he wanted. He picked Winnie the Pooh (??) and loved it! There was one iffy part where Rabbit said Tigger couldn't bounce anymore. Kasper clasped his hands over his mouth and teared up but he didn't ask to turn it off! I'll call it a success.
Yesterday Rob went to play disc golf with friends and I ran some errands while the kids played with Grandma Sandra. We had our family pictures in the evening. This headband didn't stand a chance.

Here's a typical weekend around here. Kasper watching something on YouTube. Marlo sitting at that table reading.

Playing outside!

No fear

Is it just me or does it look like she has frosted tips?

Kasper and Rob are making a fort

My view much of the time. Imagine her whining "UPPA, UPPA!!" (i.e. she wants up. We're not Greek.)

So helpful

Again. So helpful.

I took Marlo on a walk so she would stop bothering the boys and their fort making. We got home at about the same time as the boys who had gone on a scooter ride!

Turns out Kappy overcooked a downhill corner and went down hard.

His helmet took the brunt of the head impact. I'm thankful he was wearing one!

Yay for school pictures this week!
Hope everyone had a good weekend!
