June!

It was back to the grind this short week but summer arrived! Finally!

The school year is winding down and we are loving the decreased school work load. End of the year was always my favorite when I was a kid. So much excitement for the summer.

Marlo has been preparing herself for school. She has been writing up a storm, spelling everything she can think of. ("Robert")


This weekend was beautiful. We spent a ton of time outside doing yard chores and working on the fort.





Rob and Kasper fixed the swing which had a broken link in it. Rob sent Kasper up the ladder and held on firmly. Rob would have gone up himself but has a shaky past with ladders or something.


We went out to Excelsior for ice cream last night.



Today I drug everyone to the Edina Art Fair! It was beautiful and sunny and amazing to be outside. The kids thought it was too hot and too boring but you can't win them all. We just kept them in cold foods.




Almost done with second grade!

When Mama's away...

First things first, I know you're all dying to see what the cardinals are up to!

They fledged and jumped away! They went across the street to the woods. It happened while I was out of town but Rob and the kids happened to be watching!





I left for San Francisco on Wednesday for a girls weekend! More on that later.

Rob and the kids had a great time while I was gone.



They spent a lot of time outside.

The weather was phenomenal. The kids are still very into dot to dots and coloring.
















They all met Grandpa Steve and Carol for dinner and ice cream and lake views.







Then they played video games and had a sleepover in the sunroom!





I got home Memorial Day and got to playing! This game was just my speed. I lay down, Marlo dumps stuffed animals on me and I throw them one by one back into the box.



I had a great trip but it felt good to be home!
