Skiing!
It was a typical week which is always a good thing these days! It was very cold most of the week but things are looking up and with 40's in the forecast, it's basically Spring.
Marlo got a start on her Christmas list.

It was a COLD week here. If it got above 0, it's not coming to mind. Tonight the low is forecast to be -22. Yuck.
Our week was school, work and staying inside. The kids had their school Valentine's Day parties on Friday and they were so excited about them. Kasper wasn't allowed to bring food of any kind. Marlo was. I learned this after I bought about 4 lbs of heart shaped suckers. The Valentine's took me less time than store bought because there was no writing and I think they turned out super cute.
Rob took himself and Kasper for haircuts yesterday then picked up the kids' skis! We decided to encourage ourselves to get them out on the slopes by getting them their own skis. Kasper particularly LOVES skiing.

We got through January without a real cold snap but for the next week here it's going to be downright frigid.
This week we went to school and work all week. We are thankful every day the kids get to go to school. They really thrive being there. Now that all the grades are back at the elementary school, the morning drop off line was unreasonable so the kids went back on the bus starting Wednesday! It's been fun seeing all of our bus stop friends after almost a year! The gang is all there and grew by 2 more kids - one of which is in Kasper's class!
Marlo got into Minecraft this week. While I don't know the true goal of the game, I'm pretty sure it's not to find and capture all the animals you can, fall in love with them, give them names, and cram them into your house as pets until eventually they run off and get lost in caves or fall off cliffs and die and you cry real tears and feel very sad.

It's hard to believe it will be February tomorrow. The days are long but the months are short.
The kids were home most of the week while the teachers recombined schools and classrooms. I'm crossing my fingers we've had our last distance learning day behind us.
Kasper had 3 teeth pulled and a cavity filled this week. This poor kid has a long road ahead of him in the mouth department. We should start saving for braces now.

We had a normal, lazy week this week! The kids went to school, I went to work, Rob had the quiet house to himself to make all the important phone calls he could hope for.
We had exactly zero plans this weekend. We slept in, enjoyed the snow, ate meals at weird time.
Today we got outside to enjoy the sunshine. It was a beautiful day! This week will be our last wonky week for awhile (fingers crossed) as the kids will be home for most of it while 4th and 5th grades are moved from the high school back to their home schools. Next week the kids will both be at the same school! Kasper is really looking forward to it if for no other reason than the 40 minute later start.
Of course the most fun part was the plow pile in the parking lot.

We had a pretty normal distance learning week this week. The kids start back at school again tomorrow so it was a little hard to stay focused, but we did it!
Marlo, of course, did some creating.
