Painted

It was an autopilot week. We had soccer and swimming. Homework. Adult work. We didn't get over to the house as often this week so it was always a fun surprise when we did. 

The well guy finally came to get the well installed. 

 

Front door stained. 

The painters spent a 5th full week at the house.

   

Also lights started going up! This is the 4th bedroom upstairs that I'll use as my business office.

   

Marlo's bedroom with the requested crystal light. 

 

Kasper room with accent wall and cool light fixture. 

 

We didn't get a light fixture in our room, we went with a ceiling fan. 

 

I usually pick out Marlo's clothes in the morning. She picked out her own outfit one day.

   

We also got countertops! We went over to the house yesterday and met my sister and her family there. It was a full house with all of us poking around seeing all the new things and the painters trying to finish.

   

We went back today and here's how it currently looks! We were thankful we got to see the island before they covered it back up.

Back to normal

We were back to full strength this week! 

We were supposed to get our well in but instead we just got the well truck posted up out front all week jamming up the works.

The painters seem so close to finishing. I think they're done upstairs and close to being done downstairs.

We had bad storms come through this week. Rob ran over to the house after they passed through and thankfully everything was fine. The painters had left a window cracked downstairs but it's still concrete down there so it was fine. It looked all moody post-storm.

After finishing up the upstairs painting, they got to some main level staining as well as putting all the doors on.

 

Kasper played 2 soccer games this week and scored in both! Marlo and I got to go watch Friday evening and it was such a beautiful night.

    

Here's how things look now! I'm getting impatient for them to put the kitchen cabinet doors back on. 

Erosion from the truck living in the front yard stoppoig the concrete people from pouring our front porch. Nbd. 

Our cousin Harriet turned 5 today so we celebrated her yesterday. The cousins play so nicely together.

It was a beautiful weekend. I did a lot of reading on the patio. I've missed the patio.

 

Rob and I managed to get a round of disc golf in today too!

   

Tonight we had dinner at a friends house and put a nice bow on a great weekend.
