School's OUT!
We made it through the school year! First year with a middle schooler and we all survived. BARELY. Of course Kasper was very excited for the last day while Marlo was in mourning.

Happy Memorial Day! We just had, without a doubt, the most perfect Memorial Day weekend EVER. EVERRRRRRRRRR.
First, though, my parents came over Monday and planted a couple ground cover plants by our back patio and put up a couple bird feeders. We had goldfinches and hummingbirds within hours! We haven't done any landscaping so this was a great start.
This morning my parents came over for pancakes then it was another day almost totally outside! Rob and I tried to organize the garage, Marlo vibed and was so self-entertained. Kasper went over to a friend's house and ran through the sprinkler.Posted by Jessica at 8:21 PM 0 comments
It totally feels like summer now. Not just a day here or a day there. It's awesome!

This week went fast, we were busy here at home and at work. Kasper finally got the video games he's been excited about for awhile. He and Rob went to Target at 7 am Friday morning to buy it before school! Fun but I think Friday at school was torture.

Crazy it's May already. The weather has finally turned in MN and the kids are getting Spring Fever.
To start, I have to brag for Miss Marlo. She's been in speech therapy for 2 years for her r's and within the last 2-3 weeks she's suddenly immensely better at making the sound. She has never been able to pronounce her name clearly so a stranger can understand her.

Then Marlo did a 1-mile race! It was such a beautiful night.

Oops! I guess we haven't done anything interesting for the last 3 weeks! Sometimes that's the way it goes.
Kasper has been moving through geography bee rounds at school and made it to the finals on Monday this week! I didn't count but it seemed like there were 10 kids from each grade 6, 7 and 8.
