Summer wind down
Rob took Kasper to the Dr. Monday morning. Let your kid's toenails air out in the summer or you'll think they have a terrible fungal infection, just a PSA. Also interesting, he weighs 39 lbs. Exact same as he did in January! I've been waiting for him to hit 40 lbs for a very long time - since we moved him to a booster. I would've thought he's be there by now. It's neither here nor there and he's a healthy kid but I have 40 lbs as some threshold in my mind. Moving on...
They stopped for breakfast sandwiches at Starbucks. Kasper LOVES them and pounded a whole one.

When Rob dropped Kasper off at daycare he peeked in on Marlo who was spending her first morning in Preschool A! I sort of forgot that was happening this week. She spends mornings in Preschool and will go full time in September. Preschool A is the room were she'll spend the smallest amount of time as it's basically the room where you learn how to potty train. GOOD LUCK. The teacher is the one Kasper had when he started in Preschool and we love her so much. I'm excited for her to have Marlo now. I think she'll have a bigger challenge than she did with Kasper where she told me to bring undies and he just stayed dry on the first day. A week of transitioning and Marlo has actually dug her heels in farther about potty training. She now goes so far as actually telling me when she is peeing in her diaper. We're going to have our hands so wonderfully full with this one.

Doesn't she look tiny? She also looks like she's mid-boss.
The transition has been hard on the girl. I'm thankful they are weeks long so the kids can get used to it before jumping in.

Got shoes on!

Silly hair!

A morning where we can enjoy a leisurely pancake breakfast with delicious coffee and the newspaper! Yes please! The kids have been playing really well lately. I suppose that'll keep getting better as they both grow up.

It was rainy yesterday so we got all of our errands done.

Never passes up jumping in a puddle.

Cheetos for lunch!

This picture popped up on my Timehop yesterday. SO ADORABLE. The little curls. And that was just 2 years ago? That's just nuts.

We went over to the Snows' house last night. The kids had a great time and the adults are getting more and more time to chat as they are getting older. Good thing we had a big pitcher of Bootlegs!

Look at who convinced her Papa to take her to get doughnuts this morning. "Let's get doughnuts today!" Rob says No Marlo, we'll just eat at home. "I want to get doughnuts today really bad!" Rob scoops her up, grabs his keys, and off they go. Wrapped around her finger.

Thankfully they brought some home for us.
After breakfast Kasper went to a birthday party for a school buddy. It was at a place in town we had never heard of and it sounds like it was great! The kids made clay figures, glazed them and will get them later after they're fired.

Can you guess what Kasper made?
Marlo and I went for a walk on this gorgeous day then met the boys back at home for coloring and lunch on the front steps.

Oh dear

Kasper and Rob made some trail mix as an after nap snack. Kasper was delighted. And ate almost the whole bag.

The boys went for a bike ride while Marlo finished her nap. It was such a perfect day today. The heat and humidity were GONE. Fall is coming.

The State Fair somehow starts this week and then it'll be back to school! Eeek! Hope everyone had a great weekend.
