BTS

When your kids get older, they kind of do their own thing and you aren't really involved as much. Hence the lack of photos I've taken in the last 2 months. 

Kasper went up into the Boundary Waters with a school group. They had a ton of fun of course. 

 

 The kids wore matching shirts to dinner one night which was silly. They didn't love it. 

   

 We got to spend some time with Great Grandma who is now officially the shorter than the kids. 

   

And then we started a new school year! Middle school and high school. It's been a big adjustment for both kids. I think Kapser is having an easier transition but soon it'll be the new normal. 

   

 Ultimate frisbee started this week! The kids are on differnet teams now but both had very successful first games. Boy time flies! 

 Hope everyone had a great summer!

CATS

At the end of June, Marlo performed in the elementary school production of CATS! It was kind of a trip but it was fun.

Preserve

For the last couple years, we head up near St. Cloud to a big disc golf tournament held there every year! Most of the pros show up to play and it's just a fun atmosphere. This year it wasn't so blazing hot and we were able to meet so many of the mens and women players! 

 

They had a 5 story rubber duck this year. 

   

And Rob got to do a small bit of chatting with his favorite player.

Another successful Preserve tournament! 

Last Day!

Oops! I got behind again! I have a couple things to share from the beginning of summer but before all that, let's celebrate the end of elementary school for Marlo and middle school for Kasper! I think this was maybe the first time they've worn pants on the last day of school but the weather has been weird! 

Kasper spent the last day at Valleyfair but Marlo had a little graduation! 

    

We have loved Clear Springs and are going to miss it! On to middle and high school! 

State!

What a week! Last weekend it was 90 degrees. Then we almost had a tornado go through downtown Minneapolis and this weekend it was 40. That's Spring in MN for you. 

Kasper had his final middle school band concert. He cooked. 

 

Then this weekend we had the state ultimate frisbee tournament! It was SO cold and windy yesterday. We all forgot how to Minnesota. We got to play against the team with the daughters of our good high school friend. 

   

It was a super fun tournament. THe kids played so well both days and more inmportant than that, had fun the whole weekend even with the miserable weather. 

   

Today was still chilly but at least it was sunny. Marlo even made two points in one game! She's got to work on her team spirit and high fives but one thing at a time. Kasper is a star player and made some points but that's a given. 

   

We took 3rd in State! 

   

 Then we celebrated. 

   

What a weekend! We're exhausted. And windburned. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
