Summer!
What a week! Things happened at the house, the kids had a week of fun at school and Friday was the last day!
Now that the well truck is gone, things are happening quicky. The concrete truck was able to get in a couple times to pour patios, driveway aprons, front porches. The plumbers were back installing bathroom fixtures.
Tuesday was the Spring Fling at school! They haven't had it the last 2 years so it was exciting to have a school event. Once we get there the kids vaporize and the adults chat. Somehow the kids find us when they want something. We got a big bucket of mini doughnuts and had many child visitors to eat them. Most we even knew.
It was fun to see what was new at the house each day.
Looks like the painters couldn't get all the kitchen doors smooth on the first try so there was a shipment of a few new ones one day.
Last day of school doughnuts!
Kasper had his 5th grade graduation Friday. It was bittersweet. He had such good friends and teachers in elementary school.
We have a fun bus stop group!
This song made the parents cry.
Here they were in kindergarten!
These dad are great friends thanks to these boys.
Friends since they were 4!
Kasper's best "friend that's a girl".
Getting the principal to sign their yearbooks! He knows every kid's name in the school and most of the parents. I'm fairly sure no principal of mine had any idea who I was. What an awesome guy!
Here's the house currently! Carpet and flooring in downstairs. All toilets and faucets installed. Furnace, AC, water heater installed. Carpet pad mostly in upstairs.
We had a fun weekend too! Kasper had a sleepover. Marlo, Rob and I did gymnastics in the basement. When my parents finshed their basement and the carpet went in, I ran downstairs and did a perfect front walk-over. Never did one ever again but I'll never forget that. Rob took the kids to get new shoes at Scheels which apparently is a carnival store with candy, toys and a ferris wheel now.
Let summer begin! Hope everyone had a great weekend.
