Marching 4th toward spring
Hi everyone! Hope everyone had a great week. We had a lot of fun this week.
As I mentioned before, Monday was my birthday. I got a couple pics of me and my boy. (Don't know what's going on with my bangs in this first picture.)
A co-worker of mine made birthday cake that we were able to enjoy at work and I was able to bring a bunch home. Kasper had fun eating the frosting off the top!
What a mess.
Sometimes I have to wake Kasper up in the morning. I feel so bad doing it!
Here's another morning when we had to wake him up. This time Rob picked him up while he was sleeping. This picture makes me remember how little he once was. He didn't always spill out of Rob's arms like that.
Rob was able to get Kasper singing one of his favorite songs. I think he has a very strong interest in music. He remembers lyrics from many songs and can sing along! Maybe all kids do.
Kasper's daycare was closed at noon Friday so he got to take his nap at home. It was an epic nap and he woke up with awesome bed head and face.
Our weekend was pretty low key. We weren't sure what the weather was going to do so we didn't make any plans. We did lots of playing around the house.
(Yes our house always looks like this. I think a straightened play area encourages more of a mess than just leaving it.) (Editor's note: Rationalize much?)
Kasper loves touching bellies with me. It's pretty silly but pretty adorable.
Kasper started using pronouns this weekend. And using them correctly. It's so fun to watch him "get" things. Also clicking - potty training! A couple times this weekend Kasper said he had to go potty and went! I won't get my hopes up that he'll potty train himself but it's a start!
Today was more of the same. Playing around the house. Watching Papa build a snowman on the deck while roof raking. Groceries. A nice nap that was seriously shortened by the dog barking, then two torn pages and one ripped spine in three favorite books. Guess that's over-tired exuberance for you.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
