I guess I didn't post last weekend! We've been trying to enjoy the rest of summer as much as we can. We've had a bit of upheaval this summer and (in my opinion) it was starting to get to the kids. Marlo in particular. Lots of anxiety about what was next and who was going to be there. So we've been focusing on stability for the last couple weeks. Camp, home, family. I think it helped.
Rob also got a new bike so he and Kasper have been enjoying the local mountain bike trails.
Rob went to WA last weekend to celebrate the life of his uncle Gill who recently passed away. It was a quick trip for him but I know it was wonderful to get together with family. And rent a Tesla. Good thing we're putting a charging outlet in our new house.

Tennis evenings are back.

We had the kids open house at school. It was the first time I've been inside their school for over a year! We got to meet their teachers, see their desks, see who is in their classes. Kasper has the same teacher he had for second grade so that will be fun! They are so ready to start school.

Rob pulled one of Kasper's teeth to bring his lost-at-home total to 2.
It's hard to tell which one it is because the adult tooth is all the way in.
Got some disc golf in of course.

Marlo got her second ever hair cut for school. It looks short again! But the ends are nice and healthy now.
Our annual trip up to the Gunflint Trail was cancelled this year because of forest fires up there. The Boundary Waters wasn't letting people in so it wasn't worth going up. We were super disappointed to miss it. We did rent a canoe on a local lake for a couple hours today just to get a little canoeing time on Labor Day weekend like we are accustomed to.
We have one more day of summer before school starts on Wednesday. This summer went so fast and yet June seems like a lifetime ago. I think we're all looking forward to getting back on a schedule around here.
Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend!
