Huddle up
We had a great, normal week. Gotta love those, huh?
This was the first week Marlo allowed herself to be left alone to play for a couple minutes at a time. Sometimes. If Kasper was willing to play near her she did pretty well! She's still very, very needy but hopefully we can work on that.

At daycare, her teachers have 2 different takes on her personality. Her morning teacher compliments her on her communication and says they always know when Marlo would rather do something other than what she's currently doing. Her afternoon teacher does more sighing and seems to think she's a bit of a diva. There's quite a bit of "Well, that's Marlo!" I try not to feel bad about her attitude because there's not much I can do but I hope that she chills out soon because there are other babies in the room and she's not even THE baby anymore!
One evening I picked up only Marlo while Rob picked up Kasper in the Burley. What a fun surprise for him! Marlo and I waited outside a bit but didn't end up seeing them come home. We had fun anyway - Marlo loves to be outside.

(Side note - there's nothing like seeing your forehead right next to a baby's forehead. It's like the Grand Canyon!)

Fell asleep on the (4 mile) drive home.

She really needs that third nap in a day but most of the time doesn't get one. It helps her make it to bedtime.
Playing after work on Friday. Baby Kasper always loved this too!

Naked baby!

We had a notably low key weekend. Like we did the bare minimum. The next few weeks are going to be killer so this was such a nice way to huddle up as a family and get some sweet time together. It helped that the kids were AMAZING this whole weekend. It was truly recharging. As an introvert, it was basically perfect for me. I decided to do a day in the life post about our day yesterday so stay tuned for that! I took about 400 pictures yesterday that I still have to sort through.
The DJ and his assistant, hard at work on their latest mashup masterpiece.

Marlo said those were some pretty sick beats.
We ran to Target today and I was pretty sure Marlo could sit in the cart rather than in her car seat. Nope! She's still too small and slid all over that seat.

It was a sweet treat to look over and see her sitting in there, though. Also, those are sippy cups for our big girl. So big!!
After nap we played in the backyard. These are some classic, classic Muggins faces.

We've been trying to play "so big!" with Marlo. She's not consistent yet. Also, I'm trying to get her to say "Mama". She has Dada down!

Is she not the cutest?? I'm just so in love with her.
This guy was also around but too busy to let me get a photo of him.

Ok! Let the madness that is August begin!
