Nesting
We had a busy week! Which is saying something!
Kasper's teacher took this picture of Kappy and his BFF Simon at recess. It is such a SWEET picture. I love it.

On Tuesday, Marlo was running down a hill backwards in our yard and bent her knee the wrong way. Rob saw it happen and said it looked bad. She wouldn't stop crying and wouldn't put any weight on it. It was after Urgent Care hours so Rob took her to the ER.

Diagnosis - sprained knee! Thankfully nothing was broken and she's feeling back to normal now. We were thankful for the piece of mind.
In other big news, the bluebirds are back! I tried to take picture through the window and failed but they built an entire nest this weekend!

And a cardinal is building a nest in the bush right outside our kitchen window. She has been working so hard and I don't see the male helping. She's building it with the weirdest materials, it looks like dental floss and kleenex.

Those are terrible pictures but they're the best I got.
Marlo had conferences Friday. Sounds like she's a sweet girl who is friends with everyone, shares, takes turns. She is the "little teacher" and helps the teachers with whatever they need. She doesn't stay quiet during nap time but the teacher confided with me that making 10 5 year olds stay quiet for 2 hours is stupid. I love hearing how kind and welcoming she is. I hope it helps her find her people when she starts kindergarten in the fall.
Friday was a school fundraiser for Kasper's school. They rent out a bowling alley and have a live and silent auction. It was our first time going this year and it's kind of mayhem. We went to one of Kappy's friends house first for apps and cocktails then caught a school bus to the event. Parents and teachers let loose. We managed to find Kappy's teacher!

And the principal!

It was such a fun night - Kappy's friends parents are a ton of fun and we all get along really well. We got home at 1 am. Big thanks to Grandma Sandra for staying with the kids!
Saturday we laid low.

Today we tackled some much overdue yard work.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
