Slow Spring
We haven't been up to much since we got back from Spring Break! School and work mostly.
Kasper's spring Ultimate Frisbee season started! We've had one beautiful weekend last weekend and one very wet weekend.
Marlo has been asking every Earth Day since 2020 to pick up trash. This year we made her day and let her pick up trash along our road. She was legitimately stoked.
The kids each had friends over yesterday and we had a great day. We had lunch, ran to Target, met the tow truck towing Rob's car to the shop because it broke down, sat in the hot tub, went to a brewery for burgers and frisbee, stopped for ice cream. The kids each had a sleep over, Marlo's at our house and it was a success. Marlo and her friends have been slow to warm to sleepovers (probably because of the pandemic) but we're getting there.
It rained almost all day today. Rob and Kasper went to the Ultimate games without us and they ended up playing only one of the 2 games. It was just so miserable.
Then tonight at dinner we say a young male deer in the yard looking all spooked. He ended up sprinting away and we say a coyote slink out of the wetland! He hung around awhile and kept popping up over the hill! We also have had a bunch of sandhill cranes in our wetland this week. Minnesota is coming back to life!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
