It's June?!
We've been on a bagel kick for breakfast for the last couple weeks. Kasper gets to choose what he wants on his bagel and it's almost always cream cheese. He licks all the cream cheese off first then starts eating. He's been eating so well lately - finishing all his food. He even feels heavier these days!
Shake Brah. This was his idea. I don't know why he's giving me that tortured Colonel Sanders look.
When it wasn't raining, Kasper liked to play on the deck. He can open and close the doors himself so he just lets himself out. Sometimes I sneak up on him to see what he's found to do.
Rob and I went to conferences at Kasper's daycare Thursday afternoon. We missed the normal conferences while we were in Hawaii so it was a make-up one. It's always great to hear someone else say nice things about your child. Kasper is doing well and seems to be a polite, social child. A couple things that surprised me: He always says please and thank you. He helps other kids out when they don't know the answer. He's the first one to get up and dance in circle time - the others are too shy. A couple things didn't surprise me: He makes sure everyone follows the rules. He corrects the teacher's English. He has no interest in potty training. He seems to have a best friend and they have a great time playing together. (I've posted this before)
After the conference, we peeked in his room where the kids were just getting served lunch. It smelled delicious! Kasper got a little fussy when he saw us so we picked him up and gave hugs and kisses and he was happy to sit back at the table and have lunch. That was so fun.
On Friday, while waiting for the pizza, Kasper tried riding the trike again. He's been much more interesting in pushing it than riding it so far.
He did great!
Kasper uses the potty before his bath and gets an M&M. He runs out to me for the candy then almost always finds some toy to walk back to the bathroom. I think it's hilarious.
Yesterday morning it wasn't raining and the boys were looking for adventure so they rode to the doughnut shop!
When the sun eventually came out for a bit we headed to the playground. We had it all to ourselves and had a lot of fun.
Reading with Papa. There's a funny hippo in a little car in the book and Kasper laughs and laughs when he sees him. This Richard Scarry book is a favorite.
I hope this dimple stays forever.
Kasper and I spent some time reading the same book this morning while Rob got ready to run.
Haha!
Rob and Kasper went for a run with another Papa and his son. It sounds like they had a great time though it was a little chilly! At least the sun is out today!
