Getting Festive!
Oh hi December. Fancy meeting you here. Where to begin?
Tomato soup moustaches.

You can see our paper chain behind Kasper. When we made it, the thing looped over the curtain rod a couple times. Now it's barely big enough to span the rod!
Santa Marlo.

Rob had his tonsils out Tuesday. It was something we knew would probably have to happen sooner or later after he had that weird tonsil abscess 2 summers ago. He went to an ENT last month after having a couple more tonsil infections and she recommended he get it out but it maybe wasn't urgent yet. If you have X number of strep throats or tonsil infections in a defined period of time the Dr decides take them out. By the end of November, Rob basically had a never ending tonsil infection so out they came. We had been hearing horror stories of tonsillectomies but by the time Rob got home he wasn't feeling as bad as he feared! Kasper wanted to have a look at Rob's throat.

He looks at it every night and has a variety of things he mumbles inlcuding "Wow", "Yikes", "Ouch", "Yuck".
Papa even read bedtime stories with us.

A cute bath time one night.

Eating Papa's popsicle.

Do you see how Marlo is smiling again? Her tooth popped through! It's barely through the gums but I think the worst part is over for that guy. Of course there are many left but that first tooth is through. She won't be toothless at her first birthday!
Also, she's started to work on her walking again! She took a couple steps weeks ago but never tried again. On Friday Steph got her to do some walking and she's practiced a bit since then. She still prefers crawling but it's a start!
The BEST part of this video? Listen carefully to Kasper when he gives her a hug. Totally unprompted.
Rob stayed home all week and has slowly been feeling better though never felt as bad as he was promised. Apparently when you have tonsil pain so often this isn't all that different. Just worse. I decided to take the kids and go to my parents to give Rob the weekend to rest up at home in preparation for heading back to work. We stopped for doughnuts first.

These pjs. Love them.

Marlo is unsure.

We left St. Cloud this morning and made it home for lunch and naps. When we got home, we found out Rob had gone and picked out a Christmas tree! That was super exciting. After naps we did some decorating. Kasper and I worked on the tinsel tree while Rob and Marlo ran to Target to get more lights. Of course half of the lights were burned out.

Looks like a 4 year old decorated it, right?

Marlo already broke these antlers.
We put on ornaments and stopped for a picnic dinner under the tree which was very fun and we'll have to remember to do that every year! Maybe some year I'll also learn how to use my camera appropriately.

There she is! She's a beaut and smells wonderful.

Back to a normal week tomorrow. I think we're looking forward to it. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
