Meh

So... I haven't forgotten the Gunflint photos but LIFE, you know.

This week was meh. It was for sure the regular grind. We also had a random tornado warning one night.

A Korean demonstration team is in town and was at tae kwon do. It was super fun and the kids had a blast.




Marlo went to her very first birthday party yesterday and it was a DISASTER. A complete disaster. It was a group of all her daycare friends that she sees every.single.day. She refused to speak to anyone, didn't participate at all, wouldn't accept the help that parents and guests tried to offer her in an attempt to make her more comfortable. I made her go sit by the kids when the cake was coming out and she started sobbing so we had to leave the group and calm down.

She also didn't sit on the special gift-giver's chair when it was her gift being opened. It was so stressful for me but I think it's clear she's just not comfortable going to these events yet. Live and learn!

Kasper was into his Legos this weekend.


We started a new thing for Kasper where he can stay up a little later than his sister and read in his special "word hole" under the stairs. He also chose to sleep there Friday and Saturday nights!



Oh this girl. This girl. She has been challenging us lately. Stretching her wings a little.


We decided to go to a car show in Excelsior today. We took a shuttle because it sounded like it was going to be packed close to the cars. Got off the shuttle and found out it was $25 a ticket! We were NOT going to pay that so we killed an hour on the playground and got back on the shuttle to our car. Sigh.


The rest of the day was chores and responsibility. Like I said earlier, MEH. We need a vacation. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
