That was quick
Apparently it's summer now. Hooray!
We have been trying to enjoy it as much as we can. Marlo is really into riding her bike. Maybe by the end of the summer she can ride without training wheels!
She is so silly.

Kappy got his first blue belt tip! After blue it's: blue with red stripe, red, red with black stripe, red with double black stripe, BLACK! It's years away but he's stuck with it and is doing so well!

Biking break.

One of the moms had lunch at school and sent this picture. These 5 are good, good buddies, and such neat kids!

Yesterday morning we went to the bus stop neighborhood where they were having a pancake breakfast! They tapped the maples in the neighborhood and made maple syrup. It was delicious! It's a fun neighborhood - we're honorary members.
Marlo was tired for an early nap, slept 3 hours and woke up with a fever over 102. She was on fire. Poor thing.

Kasper worked on a new Lego kit most of the day.

Marlo went to bed feeling crummy and woke up puking around 9 pm. It seemed like gallons of vomit dripping down the side of her bed, on her books, in her hair, all over her face. Then she shook her hands and got it on the wall and dresser. It was AWESOME. I am not the puke parent but I was the only parent home so I had to deal with it. I give myself a huge pat on the back for getting through that one. She went into the tub then back into a clean bed. She threw up one more time getting new pjs on but the rest of the night was smooth sailing.
She was pretty good all day. She was about 100 degrees but was up and about most of the time. She brought a chair out to the deck to watch her tablet. Notice the mattress cover drying out back there.

I went to a plant sale close to home and got flowers and veggies for my gardens. I wanted to plant them all IMMEDIATELY but was able to hold off.
There were definitely some rest breaks and gatorade for the sicky.

The Lego mess in the house doesn't look that bad but we bought a big bin to put ALL Kasper's Lego kits in. We disassembled about half of them so far. Legos are really small and hard to get apart, aren't they?
This afternoon I mowed and cleaned up some of the plants we didn't get to in the fall. Rob worked on filling in the area under the deck with river rock so the dog doesn't track so much dirt and mud into the house.
The kids kind of helped, kind of did their own thing then eventually ended up inside with big bowls of 5 cereals mixed together.

At dinner, Marlo brought me the thermometer and asked me to take her temp. Back up to 102.7. She is so tough but it wears on a person. Hopefully it's on its way out. At any rate, it looks like she'll get a day off tomorrow!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
