Kasper: 22 months (Happy Halloween!)
Kasper,
You are 22 months old today! Can you believe it? We went to a fun Halloween event this past weekend at the Arboretum where you were able to show off your dinosaur costume. You were even able to RAWR when asked what a dino says.
You are such a little person now. You talk! You actually say things that make sense. Most of your words are commands "Come on, Go away, Sit down, This way". My favorite is when you're making a point and you end your sentences in "okaaaaay?" Like a teen.
You have started to prefer taking your clothes off in the evenings. Usually just the pants but sometimes the whole works. You also don't care to keep your socks on. You want "just feet."
You can count to 10 in both Spanish and English. If you're counting a group of things you'll always count in Spanish and you can get to ten with no help. You recognize the numbers 6 and 8 and the letters S, O, W and R. It's fascinating.
You like to sing. Your favorites remain the alphabet and twinkle twinkle (you can sing both on your own, in their entirety) but you'll also mix in Happy Birthday (??), itsy bitsy spider and the wheels on the bus.
We have been working on manners and you're pretty good at using them! You say please, thank you, excuse you and bless you. I also try to get you to say hello and bye to people.
You are a good sleeper. You go down between 7:30 and 8 and we generally don't hear from you until 6:30 or 7. You've been waking up a little more often since it's gotten cold because you have given yourself "just feet" and your feet are freezing. You take 1 afternoon nap for around 2.5-3 hours.
You eat like I expect a toddler to eat. You always want "snacks" and you sometimes don't eat a bite of dinner. You are pretty adventurous which I appreciate. Your teachers say you gobble up all your lunch when you're there.
You have a wonderful sense of adventure. Your top line is "I wanna run" and you mean it. You RUN everywhere. You love to climb, jump, crawl, push, pull, etc. You are always moving and exploring but still have time to settle down with a good book every once in awhile. I hope you love reading as much as your Mama.
You are such an awesome boy and we love you so much.
Love, Mama
