Balancing Act
We had another busy week! I barely pulled out my camera!
I saw some fun bath ideas for toddlers and ended up buying a ton of glow bracelets on Amazon. It's been good for lots of fun baths this week.
It was pretty warm here in the beginning of the week but by Thursday, it was PERFECT. I even went for a walk after work and took Kasper.
Also when it got cooler we got back out into the workshop to work on some projects. I've been wearing a special mask for fumes and sawdust. Nice look, huh?
Friday morning we went out for breakfast before going to tour Kasper's new daycare! We tried a new place in our hood and were pleasantly surprised.
They didn't bring out Kasper's milk until his food came out so he drank the cream for our coffee.
Eating Rob's lime
So, the daycare... it's actually the same center but in Eden Prairie instead of Minneapolis. With Rob now in working in the area, it made more sense to have K closer to home. It's a brand new center - opened after Labor Day - and it's HUGE! It's only about a third full so far but they say enrollment has been increasing as people figure out they're open. Kasper was very hesitant to go inside or look in any room. It was pretty sad, actually. The director came from his old daycare and one of the teachers too, so there will be a couple familiar faces. It's going to be a transition, though, that's for sure.
Yesterday Kasper and I ran errands all morning while Rob was busy placing in the top 5 for another race. It took so much out of K that he totally almost fell asleep at lunch. It's been awhile since that has happened.
After his nap, we headed to a birthday party for the wife of one of Rob's old co-workers. As soon as we walked up to the party, it started to sprinkle. After a month of no rain! What bad luck! The adults stayed huddled on the front steps while Kasper played out in the rain the.entire.time. He was SOAKED and had the time of his life.
He totally climbed a tree!
He was so cold and wet he was shaking so bad by the time we decided to leave. I didn't even think to bring dry clothes so we took off his wet clothes and wrapped him in a car blanket for the ride home! Good thing he thought it was great fun.
Today we had some super yummy pumpkin pancakes for breakfast then headed out for more errands. After nap, Rob and Kasper went outside to play with Rob's bike. Kasper put his own shoes on. On the wrong feet which of course is hilarious.
Eventually Rob had the idea to get out the balance bike we have bought for K awhile back. We weren't sure if he was going to be too little for it. As Rob was setting it up, Kasper was telling him he was "so excited for his new bike!"
All put together! Still excited!
Followed very quickly by terrible frustration. Then eventually he figured it out.
Oh my gosh they had the best time! I'm so happy Kasper enjoyed it!
Cheers-ing bikes
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
