Feeling Gooby
The weather this week was sad and grey and cold. It made for some blah days, that's for sure!
We had to make our own fun.

Marlo singing her favorite song.

This is not my favorite game - jumping from couch to trampoline to pile of pillows but desperate times...

A lay-in.

Kasper loooooooves his dog. Loves.

Kasper and Rob went up to St. Cloud Saturday morning so Rob could get together with a friend and Kasper could spend time with Grandma Sandra. That meant Marlo and I spent the day with each other!

Marlo finally got to wear her new shoes! She is a shoe girl.

Marlo and I decided to go to Target to get out of the house. On the way I made a detour to a park so we could stretch our legs. I was thinking we would walk a little then head to the store. Marlo walked a couple miles!

There were TONS of dogs running around and she was having a lot of fun watching them. She was just into it and walked and walked. It was awesome. A little chilly and we were perhaps under dressed but it didn't seem to bother her.
We got home and Marlo ate some lunch before begging for a nap. She didn't move after I put her down. When she got up it was way too windy to play outside so I put a movie on for her. She was really excited and watched about 6 minutes of it. She has no interest in screens which is part awesome and part not awesome.

Rob was home for dinner and Kasper stayed over at Grandma Sandra's! With brother gone, Marlo slept until 7:30 this morning! It felt very indulgent. We had some breakfast and I decided to mow since it was sunny out and the grass needed it. Like Kasper and his absolute fear of ceiling fans at this age, Marlo is terrified of motorcycles and lawn mowers. She was very upset that I was outside "playing with the lawn mower." Rob got her to go into the back yard and swing and calm down.

Kasper and Grandma Sandra got here just in time for lunch! He laid down for a little quiet time before his first soccer session of the summer! He says he loves soccer, he wants to wear soccer clothes and shoes but when faced with actually going to soccer, he cried and cried. He said he was so shy and nervous and didn't want to play and had a stomach ache. We told him if he wanted to sit and watch first before playing that was totally fine. It turns out the suggestions weren't needed - he ran right out onto the field and never looked back!

I stayed home since Marlo was still sleeping. Thankfully she woke up a little earlier than usual because I got a call after soccer that my car (that Rob took to soccer) wasn't starting! I threw Marlo into the car and we ran over there to see if we could jump it. Nope.

We left the car at the soccer field and went home because Grandpa Steve and Carol were due over within the hour. We had a nice evening and dinner with them and were able to celebrate Grandpa Steve's birthday which is next weekend. After they left Rob called to get a tow truck to tow my car to the dealership. We had received a letter a couple months ago that the CR-V had some battery sensor recall and we should come get it fixed. We hadn't followed those instructions up to now but it'll get fixed tomorrow! Sigh. Kasper got to go watch the car get loaded up on the tow truck. He was thrilled.

It's always something, isn't it? Hope everyone had a great weekend!
