Fall!
This was our first MEA week so it feels like it's been a really long weekend. Probably because it has been. Anyway.
I snuck up on the buddies one morning and found them like this. They are lucky to have each other.

Marlo had conferences on Tuesday. Basically her teachers told us she's 2 and a half! She likes to enforce the rules and help the teachers. She doesn't like to participate when the class is doing things she deems too silly. She needs to work on coloring and cutting with scissors.

We went out for breakfast after her conferences. It was about as relaxing as an outing with Marlo is.

Because of MEA, my parents came down to pick up the kids Wednesday night. Rob and I celebrated being kid free by having a leisurely sushi meal! We woke up Thursday morning, went out for coffee and rolls then took a nice long walk.

We ate lunch then headed up to St. Cloud. With this old gal.

Kasper and my Dad had gone bowling, to the trampoline park and eventually down by the river. Ha!

Friday was Grandma Sandra's birthday so we surprised her with a visit! Who wouldn't want a visit from this little thing!?

Kasper had a birthday party back in the Cities yesterday. It was at a Tae Kwon Do place which Kasper was NOT excited about before hand. Turns out he had a BLAST in the end and is totally interested in Tae Kwon Do now! If anything, it might be a good way to practice patience, focus, good listening and respect.

We stuck around home today. It was a beautiful day and the kids chose to play in the backyard all morning! Fine with us - I mowed the front and Rob got a start on the leaves. We are already very glad that tree is out.

Wrapped up the day with a little totally normal TV watching.

And finally, to recap the day, the week, and the prevailing themes at the Williams house in general:

For those of you keeping track, we see:
1. Marlo going "no sleeves" (it's like 50 degrees);
2. Willie Nelson on the radio;
3. Kasper, dramatically and out of nowhere, demanding screen time;
4. Marlo struggling, making herself heard;
5. Parents imposing conditions;
6. Lois keeping under the radar;
5. Kasper utterly defining "Kindergarten"; and,
6. Marlo making herself heard (once again, with gusto).
Whew! We sure had a fun day! Hope everyone had a great weekend.
