Derby Days
Monday, Marlo's daycare closed early so she got to kill a couple hours at Papa's office.

Practicing her M's.

Then apparently she started farting so loud Rob had to close his door.
If that wasn't enough, she got to go to tae kwon do!

Marlo at gymnastics.

They were getting evaluated for recommendations about future classes or something. All Marlo had to do was jump on the beam.

She didn't jump on the beam. She didn't jump on the floor. She didn't want to do what they asked. She runs her own show. Then someone tried to hug her.

Why does bedtime always end up looking like this?

Marlo finished Kasper's lunch when we picked him up one afternoon.

Rob and I went to a wedding on Friday. It was at the COOLEST farm about an hour away. It was all outdoors which is risky for early May in MN but it was in the 70's and gorgeous.

Yesterday was the kick off of operation pay attention to the backyard! My parents babysat while we went to the wedding and on Saturday morning we went to a plant sale near our house. After the sale, we got the new garden all set up and my Dad and I braved Menards for 40 bags of dirt.

Hopefully we can make a dent in that poor yard this summer. Our options have greatly increased now that the second maple is gone and we've neglected the whole yard for the last 6 years.
Steph and Tim came over for dinner and we all watched the Kentucky Derby!
Rob ran a half marathon this morning. We lazed around and ate coffee cake. Then we went to pick him up and get some groceries.

Today wasn't as nice as yesterday but we spent some time outside and some time inside and did only what needed to be done. It feels an awful lot like summer around here!
