Getting into the 2013 swing
So I realize I haven't written about Christmas or Kasper's birthday yet. I'm a little behind! Since I'm already behind on them, I'm going to plow ahead with the current week and fill in the blanks later. Check back this week, I'm planning on writing about Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in 2 posts.
Anyway...
A couple days before Kasper's first birthday we switched his car seat to forward facing!!
It's been so much fun seeing his little face back there! He LOVES being able to see out the windshield and makes sure to name everything he sees.
One night Kasper ate dinner, then it was bath time. Towards the end of his bath he decided he wanted more dinner and he wanted me to feed it to him. It was pretty silly but I obliged because it's not often my big boy wants to be babied by his Mama!
I even had to hold his milk up to his mouth at the end.
It was nice having a day off in the middle of the week for New Years because the rest of the week flew by! Yesterday was Rob's birthday but it was also the first day of SWIMMING LESSONS! Kasper loves "swimming" in the tub and he enjoyed his first round of lessons last winter. This year? HATED IT.
He and Rob got into the pool and he just clung to Rob. He didn't want to do any of the activities and just sobbed the whole time. He repeated "Go to Mama" over and over and over. I even sat in the other room in the hopes that not seeing me would help! It didn't and we left class early. Oh well. Maybe next week.
(Side note, as I was going through these pics Kasper was pointing at the instructor saying what I thought was Molly but when I asked if her name was Molly he said Nope. When Rob got home I asked him. Her name is MADDY. Kasper remembered his swim instructor's name from the day before! Isn't that crazy?)
So, tuckered out from swimming he fell asleep in my arms while we were singing before his nap. I actually walked out and asked Rob to come back and take our picture so I could remember.
This morning we went over to our friends Anna and Pete's house for brunch. It was delicious and we all had a fun time watching Kasper and their soon-to-be 1 year old play. They played so well together! I was very proud with how gentle Kasper was with Jack and how well he shared.
(It was as cute as it looks)
We're getting back into the swing of things after the holidays! Kasper is going to be so disappointed when there aren't any presents to open next week! Be sure to check back for a Christmas re-cap. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
