Brrrrrrrrrrr
Well, winter has certainly arrived in MN! It was pretty cold all week with yesterday not getting above 0 all day. We're not used to this kind of cold at the beginning of December!
On Monday we got a measly amount of snow but Kasper wanted to get right out there after daycare to do some shoveling.
I was in charge of bathtime one day. Mama baths mean bubbles and bubble beards.
It got really cold towards the end of the week but Kasper still wanted to go outside to play on the deck before dinner. I think it was about 5 degrees Thursday evening and there he was out there playing. Good thing he was born in MN.
We had planned all week to go get our Christmas tree yesterday and were all pretty excited about it. Check this out -
We got bundled up and went anyway.
To warm up, Kasper read a book under a blanket with a flashlight.
And had a cookie after lunch
Today we had a cozy morning at home with movies and pancakes. After our weekly run to Target, Kasper wanted to play outside again. Thankfully it was slightly above zero today! He did some shoveling for awhile then decided to ride his bike. He is his father's child - Rob rode in the state championship cyclocross race yesterday with a team from the brewery down the street. In that bitter cold! Lucky it was the last race of the year.
"Papa! Throw it at me!"
Little snow baby
After K's (2.5 hr!!) nap, we trimmed the tree! Kasper was a very good helper.
Here is me - full term and uncomfortable. I scored that shirt in the men's section at Target. It's one of the few things that covers my belly. I forgot just how big it gets!
As is his custom, Kasper put all his ornaments on a few branches.
There she is! We did an abbreviated Christmas decorating. I'm thinking ahead to having to take it all down with a newborn. After bath and a bedtime story, Kasper stood admiring the tree and declared, in awe, "The tree is so so pretty. I can't believe!"
My original muse
Hope everyone had a great (and warm) weekend!
