Happy Labor Day!
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT'S LABOR DAY?? Crazy.
We started the week off with a trip to the State Fair!

Kasper wanted to ride some rides so Marlo and I hung out and waited. She had no interest. I had interest in her amazing curls. They have been in effect the last week or two.

He was so nervous!

She was so patient.

So gross

When it was Marlo's turn to pick what she wanted to do she wouldn't budge: "BABY PIGGIES!!!!!!" She wanted to see all the animals and touch exactly 0 of them.

Marlo's all time favorite, most memorable part of the fair was watching a big cow go lots and lots of potty. She's still talking about it.
All you can drink milk! Also, had to get a stroller at this point to continue on.

One of the best parts for the kids was watching big draft horse teams assemble to go into the colosseum for judging or whatever they were doing.

It was only fun for me for the first 30 minutes.

Running out of steam. Note the hair "hole" Kasper is making.

Back to the bus! Also a highlight.

I met my parents on Monday evening and handed Kasper over for a few days! Explorer's Club was closed so Kasper went up to stay with his grandparents for the rest of the week. It sounds like he had a lot of fun with Grandma Viv & Grandpa Tim and Grandma Sandra and kept them on their toes. We got him back Saturday when everyone came over to celebrate Aunt Steph's birthday. I swear he came back a different, older-seeming kid! We missed him like crazy of course. Marlo had all the heart eyes for him when he got back. I think the feeling was mutual.

Yesterday we did mostly nothing all day. Kasper and Marlo continued their love fest.

Marlo's curls again. They have been so cute. There are some pieces of hair that make long corkscrews and some that don't curl at all. Come winter I think they'll be all gone again.

We went over to our new friends house last night for a BBQ! Kasper and Porter disappeared to do epic stuff. Marlo and Lulu also did their thing which was so adorable. All shirts were off almost immediately - it was 90 degrees yesterday! Marlo met her first live cat at their house. And got bit by a cat for the first time as well!

Excelsior doughnuts and bike rides for the first time this summer! Don't know how we went that long.

Man the summer went quick. Hope everyone had a great Labor Day. First day of school for Kappy tomorrow!
