The End Is Near!
Sunday again. Damn. One of the last "normal" Sundays of summer.
We have been getting SO MUCH RAIN the last few weeks. Wednesday night we had nothing in the rain gauge before dinner. We ate, the kids took a bath and when they were about done we had another tornado warning out of nowhere. By 9:30 we had just over 3 inches of rain! The streets were flooding.

By the next morning we had another half inch. Insane.

We had a scuffle over who got to handle the rain gauge.

We had to wake the kids up early and get them to the dentist by 7:30 Saturday morning.

Both kids got glowing reviews on their teeth! We were scared straight when Kasper had a cavity last time and take brushing and flossing seriously. So far it paid off.
Kasper went to a birthday party yesterday for a friend from daycare at a skating rink!! Rob went with him and even ended up doing a little roller skating himself!

Marlo and I stayed back and read books.

Caught me looking.

We went to a party last night at some friends house. The kids got swimsuits on but decided not to go down the big water slide set up in the back yard. They did, however, kill a ton of cake.

Rob took Kasper and Simon fishing this morning and to a playground.

Kappy and Simon aren't in the same class next year and are feeling sad about it. Kasper has at least one friend in his class so it should make the transition to first grade easier! I remember how sad I was when I wasn't in class with my best friends!
So they didn't catch any fish but they had a lot of fun. Simon is such a fun kid.
Kasper and I dropped Simon off at home then went back-to-school shopping! It was actually a lot of fun for me, and Kasper is beyond excited for his new stuff. Most notably his new shoes. When we got home, the kids got suits on and helped Rob wash his car.

And that's another week in the books! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Teaser: this is Kasper's last week of the summer Explorers program, and his last week as a Green Stripe belt. New beginnings are just around the corner!
